Donate to Manhattan Young Democrats

What is MYD?

Manhattan Young Democrats (MYD) is the official youth arm of the Democratic Party in New York County. We are affiliated with Young Democrats of America (YDA) and hold our charter with the New York State Young Democrats (NYSYD). MYD is also a multi-candidate committee (type 9) registered with the New York State Board of Elections.

How does MYD spend its funds?

MYD’s primary initiatives include:

-Educational programming, which entails costs such as venue spaces, presentation materials, learning labs, candidate forums, and other events

-Advocacy efforts like bus trips to protest or knock on doors and postcard-writing to elected officials

-Programing to inform young voters about key threats to our democracy– like voter suppression, misinformation, and anti-democratic policies– and empower them to take action.
