I am NOT asking for donations. But because I am now reluctantly retired from a job that I loved (under my union contract) because of Wisconsin's Act 10 I am no longer paying the union dues that did so much to help me ensure security for my family. But here is my new plan: I have just decided to make a RECURRING MONTHLY DONATION to the Democratic Party of Wisconsin in hopes that this will be my "New Union" and that they will communicate a more progressive agenda and defeat the conservative/TeaParty euphemisms of "Right to Work" (for less) and "Family-Friendly" (assaults on workers schedules and safety). So the heck with you, Scott Walker and Scott Fitzgerald and Robin Vos. You object to a fraction of union dues going to Democratic candidates? Well how about this: now my FULL MONTHLY CONTRIBUTION GOES DIRECTLY TO THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY OF WISCONSIN. It's my New Union! If you are NOT a union member, or have no opportunity (anymore/yet) to be part of one here in Wisconsin, why not do the same?
