NAACP Georgia Voter Drive

Dear Friend,

We helped turn the tide in November but now we have one more critical year-end push: Black voter turnout in the Jan 5 Georgia Runoff election will be critical to fully realizing the promise of the November election.

As you're no doubt aware, two Senate seats are up for grabs in Georgia which will determine control of the Senate come January.

Runoffs are a hard business, especially coming so close to the November election and during the holidays. But it's more important than ever to make sure EVERY VOICE is heard in this special election and we do everything possible to get folks back to the polls.

In November, the NAACP voter turnout program increased Black male turnout in Georgia by an estimated 2.2% or as many as 6400 voters. This is especially significant in light of the Presidential margin of victory in GA was just 12,000 votes!

This non-partisan effort in Georgia is being managed in strong coordination with Stacey Abrams and other organizations looking toward success in January. Weekly meetings among groups that include Fair Fight, America Votes, New Georgia Project, Voting Rights Lab, Asian American Advocacy Fund, and others, allow for information and data sharing that is expected to produce the all-important synergy.

With your support, we can replicate the November success in the upcoming Georgia runoff, and it will be a VERY CLOSE election.

Your donation to NAACP Civic Engagement Program now will go directly to help recruit thousands of volunteers and voters across Georgia.

This includes:

--Organizing volunteers and paid staff for voter registration and voter mobilization;

--Deploying teams virtually to make calls, send text messages and drive digital engagement;

--Using digital relational organizing tools for direct voter contact through tested messaging and trusted messengers;

and,

--Leveraging traditional voter contact programs (Direct mail, Education lit distribution, PSA’s through radio, etc.).

*Donations to NAACP Empowerment Programs are tax-deductible.
