For contributions to a candidate committee, the first $2,700 from a person and the first $5,000 from a multicandidate committee will be considered designated for the primary election and the second $2,700/$5,000 will be considered designated for the general election, unless the primary election/convention has already occurred, in which case the contribution will be considered designated only to the general election.
