About Dream for America:
Dream for America (D4A) is a youth-led 501(c)4 non-profit founded on March 29, 2023 by William He. The organization aims to identify, educate, and mobilize America’s students to promote the principles of freedom, democracy, & progressive government. We believe that every young American can be illuminated towards real democratic values and inspired to usher in a new wave of progressivism echoing the visions of Franklin D. Roosevelt & John F. Kennedy. Dream for America activists are the community organizers of the center-left.
Against the backdrop of hateful and divisive far-right forces drawing young Americans towards extremism — D4A is here to chart a better course, offer young people a better vision for America, and reclaim the values of freedom and patriotism as an American value — rather than a conservative one. Since its founding, Dream for America has embarked on a mission to build the most organized, active, and powerful progressive grassroots network on high school and college campuses across the country.
At Dream for America, we play offense with a sense of urgency to go to places where we are in the ideological and philosophical minority. And we may not always be welcome when we go these campuses or these rural communities — but we win when we go to places where we aren’t welcome and we go there anyways. We have to wage a war of ideas, not a war of culture. The Bible teaches us to love not hate. Ignorance is not a platform, and fascism is not our future. The question we face is fear and hate or hope and progress? Freedom as a conservative value or an American one?
Dream for America (D4A) is truly moving hearts and minds—and inspiring a new wave of progressivism to reclaim the values of freedom and patriotism as an American value, not a conservative one. We are changing the nation—and shaping a more free, democratic, prosperous future for America!
