Hi, I am Dr. Naz Hassan, and I am running for the Wayne State University Board of Governors.
I came to America as an international student with determination and hope, working multiple jobs to build a future through education. With the support of my community, I earned degrees in mathematics, economics, and industrial engineering, including a PhD from Wayne State University, and built a career in the automotive industry.
For over twenty two years, I have served the Michigan Democratic Party, working to build coalitions, register voters, and advocate for our communities. I currently serve as 2nd Vice Chair.
My journey reflects resilience and a deep commitment to public education and opportunity. I will fight for students, faculty, staff, and the entire Wayne State community.
