Under the guise of searching for 'fraud,' they are busy dismantling Social Security from the inside --- radically reducing staff, closing field offices, and making it harder for seniors and people with disabilities to collect their earned benefits.
Republicans in Congress have abdicated their oversight responsibilities and given Trump, Musk, and DOGE free rein. Meanwhile, House Republicans have opened the door to cutting Medicaid by nearly $1 trillion, which also impacts Medicare. We cannot trust the GOP to protect our benefits. President Trump's promise 'not to touch' Social Security and Medicare is ringing especially hollow. His fingerprints are all over them.
