The Nebraska Democratic Party is building infrastructure and electing Democrats across our state. We are the only statewide partisan group dedicated to organizing Democrats year-round and electing Democratic candidates. In the most recent 2025 city elections, we swept every office on the ballot in Lincoln (8 seats). In Omaha, we protected our majority on the city council and flipped the Mayor’s seat by 12% points. Since 2017, we have rebuilt the party’s infrastructure to win elections.

• Elected 1,031 Democrats (up from 503 elected Democrats).

• Built 75 county parties (up from 31 county parties).

• Grew Young Democrats chapters to 18 across the state (up from 3 chapters).

• Created core programs that are proven to turn out Democrats–Vote By Mail, Voter Guides, Block Captains (including Dems Deliver), Voter Registration, Voter Protection, Peer-to-Peer Outreach, and Welcome to the Party.

• Registered over 8,000 new voters in the 24 and 25 cycles.

• Built a professional year-round staff and organizing team to stop the boom-and-bust cycle that hurt our party’s growth. We have 6 full-time staff (proud IBEW union members) and 3 part-time rural organizers, and 3 part-time Latino organizers. We have 2 offices in Lincoln and Omaha. In 2017, we started with 2 full-time staff and 1 office.
