Neha Shah

Dinner & A Movie Fundraiser

Join us for a screening of the 17 minute short documentary film "The Test"- a real story about a Ghanian immigrant preparing to take the U.S. citizenship exam. This will be followed by a panel discussion of Austinites who also took the naturalization test to become U.S. citizens.

This event celebrates all immigrant journeys, and reflects on what citizenship means today.

Your ticket purchase includes a pizza and salad buffet dinner at local award-winning restaurant Bambino; the movie screening and panel; and an opportunity to meet the film producer(s).

This event is a fundraiser for to support Neha Shah, who is running to become the first woman and first recently naturalized citizen to represent District 3 on Austin City Council. All proceeds will be used towards the Neha Shah for Austin City Council campaign. Learn more about Neha's story and platform at nehaforatx.com
