The people have spoken, and Trump is out of office. That means we can actually make progress that was never possible when he and Stephen Miller were setting immigration policy!
On the other hand, there’s a reason that Joe Biden was the immigrant rights movement’s nightmare candidate in the Democratic primary: the Obama-Biden administration actually deported more people in their first term than Trump. It will look different, but we still have our work cut out for us.
ICE won’t abolish itself, the camps won’t close on their own, and Joe Biden will only go as far as the immigrant rights movement pushes him. Can you make a donation today to help us do that?
