NFL: Get serious about violence against women

Which is worse? Using marijuana, or beating your fiancée unconscious?

According to the NFL, it’s the marijuana--and it’s not even close, judging by a pair of suspensions recently handed down by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

As you’ve probably heard, in February, a Baltimore Ravens player was caught on a security camera beating his fiancée unconscious.

Shockingly, the NFL suspended the player for just two games--while another player was suspended for the entire season for using marijuana.

The message to fans and the public is loud and clear: The NFL thinks violence against women is no big deal.

So with the start of the football season around the corner, we're aiming to raise enough money to run put an ad on TV during the NFL's opening week. It could be the most expensive ad in UltraViolet history--can you chip in?
