Pierre Nguyễn's journey as a lifelong public servant is marked by his commitment to community and service. With two AmeriCorps terms, ongoing service as a Coast Guard Reservist, and a dedicated role as a Firefighter/EMT and nonprofit professional, Pierre brings a wealth of experience and dedication to the table.
Growing up as the son of Vietnamese refugees, Pierre learned firsthand the values of hard work, serving others, and community engagement. Now, as a resident of District 7, he is passionate about using his background and skills to address the pressing issues faced by our community.
Pierre understands the challenges of cost of living, access to housing, and transportation that impact our neighbors every day. His commitment to making a positive impact led him to step up as a candidate for Austin City Council in District 7.
District 7 deserves a city councilor who will work tirelessly to find real solutions to our community's challenges. With his background as a Coast Guard Reservist, firefighter, and nonprofit professional, Pierre is well-equipped to navigate complex issues and bring about positive change.
