The National Immigration Litigation Alliance (NILA) is a small, scrappy, and impactful immigrants rights organization comprised of 3 attorneys operating on a shoestring budget. We are fighting in federal courts across the country for government accountability, transparency, and fundamental fairness for ALL noncitizens. NILA’s impact litigation docket has benefited tens of thousands of noncitizens seeking to make the United States their home, seeking release from immigration detention, and seeking compensation and redress for abuse and misconduct by government officers, including victims of the prior administration's family separation policy. Social justice attorneys who participate in NILA’s co-counseling program are enthusiastic about the knowledge and litigation skills they have acquired by working with NILA staff. And hundreds of nonprofit and private immigration attorneys have advanced their practice due to NILA’s practice advisories, trainings, and one-on-one strategic assistance program. Check out NILA’s website for more about our work and to read attorney testimonials from our co-counsel about their experience working with us: www.immigrationlitigation.org.
