October is LGBTQ+ History Month, and this gathering is a celebration of it. As we approach National Coming Out Day, we're coming together in Silverlake — a neighborhood at the beating heart of LA's queer history, daily life and nightlife — to honor the generations who built our community on dance floors, in bars, and in spaces that dared to be joyful and visible when the rest of the world told them not to be.

LA nightlife has never been just entertainment. It's been sanctuary, organizing space, and the birthplace of movements that changed this city and this country. That legacy is worth celebrating, and it's worth protecting — and it deserves a City Hall that sees it.

Los Angeles has everything it needs to succeed: creativity, diversity, and people who believe this city can work for everyone. What's been missing is leadership willing to challenge the status quo and deliver real results.

Nithya Raman has done exactly that. She's an urban planner, an immigrant, and a sitting City Councilmember who has shown that smart, principled leadership makes a difference. In office, she's helped deliver the largest reduction in street homelessness of any council district, strengthened tenant protections, expanded unarmed crisis response, and cut red tape to build more housing near jobs and transit. She's pushed for accountability at City Hall and refused to rubber-stamp deals that put taxpayers or vulnerable communities at risk.

Now Nithya is running for Mayor to govern with urgency and accountability, and to deliver results for the people who call this city home.

So come celebrate with us. Join us to hear from Nithya about her vision for Los Angeles — and to raise a glass to our community's past and its future. If you believe our city deserves leadership that delivers results and stands up for everyday Angelenos, now is the moment to invest in that future.
