Contribution rules

  1. I am making this contribution with my own personal credit card and not with a corporate or business credit card or a card issued to another person.
  2. I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
  3. This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
  4. I am at least eighteen years old.
  • The NJDSC has both federal and non-federal (state) accounts.
  • The following entities are permitted to contribute to the NJDSC's federal account: Individuals, Non-Incorporated Sole Proprietorships, Partnerships, Certain Limited Liability Companies (LLCs), Federally Registered Political Action Committees (PACs). With the exception of Federally Registered, Qualified Multi-Candidate PACs, contributions to the NJDSC's federal account may not exceed $10,000 per year. Contributions by Federally Registered, Qualified Multi-Candidate PACs to the NJDSCs federal account may not exceed $5,000 per year. Contributions are subject to the prohibitions and limitations of federal election law.
  • The following entities are permitted to contribute to the NJDSC's non-federal account(s): Individuals, Partnerships, Corporations, Labor Organizations, Political Committees, Political Action Committees (PACs). Continuing Political Committees (CPCs). Contributions to the NJDSCs non-federal account(s) may not exceed $25,000 per year. Contributions are subject to the prohibitions and limitations of New Jersey election law.
  • For 2022, unless a contribution is from a federally registered source or designated otherwise by the contributor, contributions to the NJDSC that are submitted with this form will be deposited to the committee's non-federal account(s). Any additional contribution from a federally permissible contributor beyond the non-federal contribution limit will be allocated to the NJDSC's federal account(s).
  • Federal law prohibits the NJDSC from accepting into its federal account contributions from corporations, labor organizations, national banks and federal government contractors.
  • Federal law prohibits the NJDSC from accepting into any account contributions from foreign nationals. Individuals who have permanent U.S. residency (green cards) may contribute, however.
  • State law prohibits the NJDSC from accepting into its non-federal account(s) contributions from banks, insurance companies, public utilities, cable television companies, and any majority shareholder in such entities.
  • State law (The Casino Control Act) prohibits the NJDSC from accepting into its non-federal account(s) contributions from companies that hold or are applicants for a casino license, including any holding company or subsidiary of a casino licensee or applicant. Contributions from officers, directors, key employees of any such company are prohibited. In addition. contributions by members of the New Jersey Casino Control Commission and its employees are barred.
  • It is illegal to reimburse any individual for a contribution to the NJDSC. It is illegal to receive a reimbursement for any contribution to the NJDSC.
