Netroots Nation Local Scholarships

Goal thermometer

The ninth annual gathering of the Netroots will be held July 17–20 in Detroit, MI. Netroots Nation 2014 will include 80 panels, 40 training sessions, inspiring keynotes, film screenings and other engaging sessions designed to educate, stimulate and inspire the nation’s next generation of progressive leaders.

The main purpose of our gathering is to strengthen the community, inspire action and serve as an incubator for ideas that challenge the status quo and ultimately affect change in the public sphere. Each city that has hosted our event has benefitted both economically and through the participation of local activist as well as our out-of-town attendees gaining an appreciation of the host city and it inhabitants.

We are thrilled to be in Detroit this year and are looking forward to maximizing the benefits from being there. We feel the best thing we can do to this end is to get as many of the great activist from the area to the convention and are creating a local scholarship. For every $1000 raised we will be able to provide one recipient with full registration to the convention and lodging in the main convention hotel.

You can help. Every dollar raised gets us closer to our goal of awarding 10 scholarships. Please, even if it is only $3, every bit helps. Donate now and then tell your friends. Together, we can help leave a positive mark on Detroit.
