Contribution rules
- I am making this contribution with my own personal credit card and not with a corporate or business credit card or a card issued to another person.
- I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
- I am at least eighteen years old.
- This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
- I have not knowingly or willfully accepted funds, directly or indirectly, of more than $10,000 from one or more "prohibited sources" within two years of making this contribution. “Prohibited sources” means “contributions from or expenditures by a foreign national made with the intent to use such funds to influence an election or a ballot measure.”
Prior to accepting a monetary donation, the Campaign requires each donor to certify in writing the following:
If you are an individual donor, you affirm that you (i) are a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident, and (ii) have not knowingly or willfully accepted funds, directly or indirectly, of more than $10,000 from one or more prohibited sources within four years of making this contribution.
If you are an entity donor, you affirm the entity: (i) is organized pursuant to U.S. or state law, the U.S. is its principal place of business, and is wholly or majority owned by U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents, and (ii) has not knowingly or willfully accepted funds, directly or indirectly, of more than $10,000 from one or more prohibited sources* within four years of making this contribution.
Prior to accepting an in-kind donation a donation, the Campaign requires each donor[1] to certify in writing the following:
*You affirm that the entity: (i) is not a foreign national, and (ii) has not knowingly or willfully accepted funds, directly or indirectly, aggregating in excess of $10,000 from one or more foreign nationals within the four-year period immediately preceding the contribution date.
