Split a donation today between the National Native American Boarding School Healing Coalition (NABS) and Native Organizers Alliance.
For 150 years, until 1970, federal boarding school policies forcibly separated Native children from their families placing them in institutions where many experienced abuse, neglect, and even death.
At least 1,000 Native children died at over 500 Indian Boarding Schools across the country, with many buried in unmarked graves.
Now, our allies at the National Native American Boarding School Healing Coalition (NABS) have been recovering this lost history of an intentional government policy meant to eradicate Native tribes by forcing Native children into boarding schools, cutting off their relationship to families, cultures, languages, and belief systems.
With the Trump administration abruptly ending the federal grant that was allowing the documentation of these unspeakable harms perpetrated by the federal government on Native children and families, NABS needs to raise at least $283,000 to replace the lost federal funding and continue the work of documenting and preserving this devastating part of U.S. history.
All donations made by August 15 will be split evenly between the National Native American Boarding School Healing Coalition (NABS) and Native Organizers Alliance.
Please, donate today to power this critical work.
