Help us protect your voice in the election process! Wasatch County failed to send out ballots to registered Democrats as required by 21 days prior to the upcoming primary election. This places the integrity in question of the process for a fair open election where all candidates, regardless of party, and all voters, regardless of party, have equal consideration prior to the voting deadline.
We have chosen to make a formal complaint to the Lieutenant Governor about this occurrence and ask that the election process be extended, to accommodate what we hope is a simple error,to allow for the full 21-day time frame for the election to transpire. To do so, we will be incurring an unexpected legal expense of approximately $500.
It is absolutely necessary that we pursue this solution to hold the system accountable and have it maintain its integrity in all regards when it comes to local, state and national election. Casting your vote is a right worth fighting to preserve and something we take very seriously. Know that your executive committee tirelessly continues to monitor and be involved in looking out for our county's best interests and specifically your Democratic best interests at all levels.
Thank you for your donation that will help us protect your voice in the election process. We are happy to have partners like you in Wasatch County!
