Stop the Attacks on Black Students

The gentrifier majority on the School Board have voted to close 11 schools in violation of their agreement with Oakland teachers. They ignored their own Board Policy requiring an equity impact analysis because it is clear that school closures target Black students.


Private money has bought and controlled the Oakland School Board with devastating results again and again.


In 2020, we elected two champions for Black students - Mike Hutchinson and VanCedric Williams - who have powerfully transformed our fight. (And with your support, that other person we helped elect won't be part of a board majority much longer.)


This November we can replace the School Board majority and stop school closures!
