Crooked Media

There are No Off Years

In 2023, y’all really said No Off Years means No 👏 Off 👏Years👏! Thank you to everyone who chipped in to support Wisconsin progressives in their fight to elect Justice Janet, then showed up again to support grassroots organizations in key states, and finally chipped in for crucial November 2023 elections.

2024 is here, and organizers across the country are ramping up their work to prepare for another crucial election. Here’s who you’ll be supporting if you chip in to the No Off Years Fund today:

Arizona

NE Native Dems: Northeast Arizona Native Democrats is a year round power building campaign focussed on Navajo, Hopi and White Mountain Nations. The Native electorate overwhelmingly delivered for Biden in 2020, and for statewide candidates in 2022. NE Native Dems is expanding their Sunrise Precinct Project and has a goal of adding two new organizers. Voters in this precinct are disproportionately affected by the state’s restrictive voter identification requirements. Turnout on Apache Lands is critical for increasing Democratic turnout with 95% of voters casting their ballots for Democrats on White Mountain Apache.

Our Voice Our Vote (AZ): Our Voice Our Vote Arizona (OVOV) is the largest black-led civic and electoral engagement organization in Arizona. They recruit, train, mobilize and turnout the New American Majority (youth, women, and people of color). In 2024, OVOV is running a statewide campaign, knocking on 635k doors, texting and calling 500k voters, and registering over 10k people to vote. Their program will cover the state's three largest counties both in urban and rural communities. OVOV has a proven history of winning in Arizona and with your support, they will be able to hire more field canvassers, organizers, and youth leaders.

Georgia

Georgia Youth Justice Coalition: Georgia Youth Justice Coalition is the only youth-led statewide organization dedicated to giving young Georgians of every race a seat at the table in our democracy year round. With your help, they can expand their impact to include paid staff on 18 college campuses and in 12 counties and run the largest youth engagement program in the state's history, reaching more than 350K youth voters both in-person and online. With a larger share of youth voters than any other battleground state and a new federal mandate to produce fairer districts for 2024, young Georgians will again decide control of the White House.

Nevada

Rolling Sea Action Fund: RSAF's mission is to have a lasting political impact in the Black community. RSAF activates new Black voters and re-activates those who have become disenfranchised by the political process. RSAF is focused on educating voters and increasing the number of Black people who vote in battleground states like Nevada. Early investment is key to making this possible. Their innovative "Shop Talk" program fosters candid discussions among Black men and community leaders about civic engagement, misinformation, and party affiliation barriers in America. For Black women voters, RSAF offers "In Our Seat", a safe space for Black women where they can relax and find support while continuing to do the work necessary to uplift our democracy.

North Carolina:

Make NC First: Make NC First is a pooled fund, managed by North Carolina's in-state donor alliance, focused on fighting back against the extreme right-wing policies being advanced in North Carolina. Make NC First supports organizations that work to expand North Carolina's electorate through voter registration and direct voter programs, build leadership pipelines to recruit & train candidates, provide research & polling on key issues to allied organizations, and hold elected officials accountable for their actions. The resources raised here will move to organizations running large scale voter registration programs across the state to add at least 57k new voters to the rolls.

Wisconsin:

Power to the Polls: There are two things we know. First, Wisconsin will decide who wins the Presidential race, and second, Wisconsin will come down to fewer than 30,000 votes. Power to the Polls is a BIPOC-led organization that is creating innovative new ways of engaging with 250k working class voters and voters of color, and is leading the charge to turn out the infrequent (high opportunity) voters who will decide Wisconsin in 2024. Investments in Power to the Polls will ensure early organizing of these crucial communities.

Multiple States

States Project: The States Project connects the importance of state legislatures to every aspect of our lives and brings together communities to help build a healthy, sustainable, and prosperous future for all. They believe state legislatures are the strongest force for change in our country. Their electoral work focuses on winning governing majorities in the states by making state legislative campaigns more effective and better-funded. Investments in the The States Project now help: jumpstart candidate recruitment, power effective budgets and messaging strategy, ensure the best campaign staff can be hired early, and lay the groundwork to engage voters early. This support will go to work in AZ, MI, NH, NV, and PA.
