93 Americans die every day from gun violence and almost everyone has been impacted by it in some form or another. Wear Orange Day is a way to bring attention to this issue and to honor the memory of Hadiya Pendleton, a 15-year-old Chicago student killed by gunfire just days after dancing in President Obama's 2012 Inaugural Parade. Her friends decided to honor her life by wearing orange — the color hunters wear in the woods to say "see me".
In advance of the June3rd event here in Nevada, the state Chapter of Moms Demand Action is participating in a national Wear Orange Fundraising campaign designed to help us hold family-friendly events across Nevada to promote gun safety and help save lives. Please add your donation to the cause.
