Register Now for CYD's State Leadership Committee Meeting in Monterey, October 24-26, 2025

Join us in Monterey to develop CYD's updated policy platform and mobilize to protect our democracy!


The California Young Democrats will be convening our State Leadership Committee ("SLC") meeting from Friday, October 24th - Sunday, October 26th at the Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa on Del Monte Golf Course (1 Old Golf Course Road, Monterey, CA 93940) in conjunction with the California Democratic Party (CADEM) Executive Board meeting.

Take advantage of CYD's Early Registration rate for only $5 per attendee if you register before Wednesday, October 1st, 2025 Saturday, October 4, 2025.


Regular Registration is $10 per person and run October 4th - October 10thOctober 13th. Late Registration starts on October 11th October 14th and will be $20 per person. Beginning Tuesday, October 14, 2025, Late Registration begins and prices increase to $20 per person.


During the weekend, we'll work together to craft a CYD platform that loudly proclaims our values and provides a real democratic vision, instead of Trump's authoritarianism. Further, we will mobilize and organize for the Yes on Proposition 50 campaign because the biggest fight for democracy in 2025 is here in California! CYD will also consider endorsements for young Democrats running for local offices and consider any resolutions submitted to CYD.


Friday night, there will be CYD Committee meetings followed by a CYD Welcome Reception at a local brewery. Saturday morning CYD will mobilize to walk and talk to Monterey voters about voting YES on Proposition 50. In the afternoon CYD’s Platform Committee will meet to draft a proposed new CYD Platform, followed by CYD Caucus meetings, the California College Democrats General Session meeting, and finally CYD’s State Leadership Committee meeting to adopt CYD’s new Platform, consider endorsements for Young Democrats running in local races, hear from guest speakers, and more!
