I will not sling mud or personally attack my opponent — 𝘄𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲𝘀 — but, I will absolutely hold Rep. Jack Bergman accountable for repeatedly voting against the interests of Northern Michigan and the UP.

Despite taking credit in the press, Jack Bergman voted against rural broadband, against in-district manufacturing jobs, and against infrastructure funding for vital projects like the Soo Locks.

He opposed veteran-supported bills that work to prevent soldier suicide, and denied V.A. facility upgrades and modernization.

Bergman even voted against affordable insulin and against an emergency solution to the National baby formula shortage.

He has no plans to combat record inflation, and his unfunded tax cuts for the super-rich and giant corporations caused the third-largest deficit in U.S. history.

Bergman says he 'backs the blue,' but he denied funding to Michigan police departments. He rejected a law-enforcement-supported bill that works to prevent domestic terrorism. He supported locking people up for exercising reproductive choice just six weeks into pregnancy, with no exceptions for rape or incest.

Bergman shocked even members of his own party with his involvement in an election lawsuit that ignited the Big Lie and the January sixth insurrection.

Our current Representative claims to be working for Michigan's First District, but he's only passed two sponsored bills in six years and hasn't held a town hall since 2017. He admits to living in Louisiana.

Stop inefficient, ineffective, and inaccessible government.

Jack Bergman is too extreme for Michigan, and he's working against us.

This election put people first and vote for Doctor Bob Lorinser for U.S. Congress. It's time to bring back principled leadership to Northern Michigan and the U.P.
