About Ihor
Ihor Semko came to the United States from Ukraine at eight years old, grew up in poverty, and was the first in his family to earn a college degree in this country. He spent fifteen years in human resources, most recently running HR for a manufacturing plant outside Syracuse, work that taught him how wages, costs, training and childcare actually fit together in a family's budget.
He is running because a real economic opportunity is arriving to our west, and there is no guarantee that any of it reaches working families in the 122nd. He wants to make sure it does, and he thinks the district deserves someone in Albany who understands hiring, training and cost of living from the inside.
Why your ticket matters
New York's public matching funds program multiplies contributions from people who live in the 122nd district by as much as 12 to 1 on the first $250 given. That makes a $15 ticket worth $195 to this campaign, and a $50 family ticket worth $650. Every local donor also strengthens the grassroots match behind the campaign, which is the whole basis of how it competes here.
Come eat, bring a neighbor, and help make the case that this district is worth investing in.
