Change for Otsego County

Founded in 2016, the Otsego County Young Democrats believe that it is time for a new generation of young people to assert themselves in Otsego County's political environment. We accomplish this mission through grassroots organizing, communication, outreach, and inclusiveness. We are comprised of students, professionals, parents, and folks wanting to make a difference. It is our belief that political change is best facilitated at the local level. In the 2017 general election, we were instrumental in shifting the Otsego County Board of Representatives from a 10-4 Republican majority to its current composition of 7 Democrats, 6 Republicans, and 1 Conservative. We are raising money to grow our organization and support candidates who are committed to grassroots organizing, transparency, and who are dedicated to running a unifying, inclusive campaign.
