Oday Yousif is a first-generation American, practicing attorney, and small business owner running for the Cajon Valley Union School Board, Area 5 to refocus its values on uplifting the community and creating strong public schools that prioritize educational achievement and safety. Born and raised in Rancho San Diego, Oday attended local Cajon Valley schools and Valhalla High School, continued his public education at San Diego State University, before earning his law degree from California Western School of Law.
Oday is running for school board because the current board is failing our community by politicizing the classroom with debates that draw attention away from academics and put students, staff, and families at risk. He is also passionate about expanding resources that allow schools to better support new students, many of whom are recent immigrants.
