Billionaires Can't Teach Our Kids

For more than a decade, private money has bought and controlled the Oakland School Board. GO Public Schools’ Super PAC takes donations from out-of-town billionaires to select our OUSD School Board. These billionaire donors have spent over $1.2 million in the last four Oakland school board elections, buying a school board that has voted to close neighborhood public schools, has risked fiscal ruin for our district, and has created a massive teacher retention crisis.

 

We have a different vision for Oakland - a district that serves students and families, not billionaires. We will stand together and elect a school board that is worthy of our students.
