Like so many other workers across the economy, restaurant workers are experiencing a historic moment of worker power. Millions of restaurant workers have walked off the job, rejecting poverty wages and securing wage increases nationwide. They achieved One Fair Wage in DC last year and in Chicago just last month! Now, 13 states, including NY, are poised to follow suit.
Please join restaurant workers, responsible restaurant owners, and allies for a special reading and musical performance inspired by Howard Zinn's A People's History of the United States to help us celebrate our historic win in Chicago and push New York State to follow!
Leaders of the Chicago City Council will be with us to speak about this historic achievement.
