The ACLU of Ohio is working tireless to remain a trusted leader and resource in campaign and political engagement for years to come.
This fund was created as a response to the passage of H.B. 1 in Ohio, a highly restrictive and punitive campaign finance law. This detrimental law requires that organizations like the ACLU can verify that funding for electoral work come only from individuals and entities who have attested to their U.S. Citizenship.
The ACLU of Ohio served as a successful leader in two ballot measures campaigns in 2023. Our fierce dedication to integrated advocacy – the intertwining of our diverse departments – allows us to utilize robust resources statewide to educate and mobilize voters.
The funds raised through this form will be exclusively c4 and used for our highly impactful work, including:
Preserving direct democracy is essential in a state that is so severely gerrymandered and is the remaining failsafe way for Ohioans to attain majority rule. We are protecting people, not those in power.
The ACLU of Ohio has existed for more than 100 years, and we’re not finished with our critical work – we are just getting started. By donating the ACLU of Ohio, you are joining us as we continue to fight to protect the civil rights and liberties of all Ohioans.
