My name is Chris Olson and I'm running for Portland City Council in District 2 (N/NE Portland).
I'm a community organizer who has worked in the non-profit sector for over ten years and volunteered on progressive voter registration initiatives and local campaigns.
I’ve got a clear plan to make Portland work for everyone.
My plan has three key areas of focus:
1. Housing and Economic Justice
2. Transportation and Climate Change
3. Community Safety and Development
I want to STOP THE SWEEPS that keep people unhoused and pass a Renters Bill of Rights to prevent landlords from raising rent over 5% per year.
I have signed the Save Portland Street Response pledge, vowing to prioritize, introduce, and vote in favor of full funding for Portland Street Response to operate 24-7 in every budget cycle. Additionally, I signed the No Fossil Fuel Money pledge, committing not to accept contributions of over $200 from the oil, gas, and coal industries, and the No Police Money Pledge, rejecting donations or endorsements from police unions or associations.
Join me in creating a better city and vote for Chris Olson in District 2!

As a grassroots organizer, I believe in the power of the people. That is why I’m participating in the city’s Small Donor Elections program. Your donation up to $20 will be matched 9:1. That means, $5 becomes $50. $10 becomes $100.
