Today, The Maine Wire posted a piece by former Republican State Representative Larry Lockman downplaying the actions of the neo-Nazis attempting to disrupt and divide our Maine communities and actively recruiting other white supremacists to join them in Maine, while at the same time falsely equating their disgusting tactics to those of the elected Democratic officials who are speaking up against their repulsive actions.
This style of rhetoric is exactly what emboldened these neo-Nazis to hold their pitiful demonstration in the first place. It’s sad to see a former State Representative try to score political points off of the actions of white supremacists.
