One Stop Career Center of Puerto Rico, Inc. (OSCCPR) is a beacon of hope and transformation for individuals and communities across Puerto Rico. Established as a private non-profit organization under the 501(c)(3) designation, OSCCPR is dedicated to improving the lives of youth and adults, particularly in areas of significant social need. The organization's mission is deeply rooted in addressing the critical gaps in housing, education, employment, health, and legal services across the island.

Comprehensive and Integrated Services

OSCCPR offers a wide array of services aimed at empowering vulnerable populations through comprehensive, community-based programs. Their approach focuses on integrating various services that address immediate needs while laying the groundwork for long-term success and stability. These initiatives not only target basic needs but also seek to provide sustainable solutions for community growth.

  1. Housing: Programs offer housing counseling and first-time homebuyer assistance, ensuring that individuals and families have access to stable housing. This includes prevention programs aimed at avoiding foreclosure and providing education on financial literacy.
  2. Employment: OSCCPR's Avanzando 2 Good Jobs program focuses on training individuals for high-demand sectors, particularly in construction and aviation mechanics. Through this program, participants receive free training, job placement assistance, and long-term follow-up support to ensure retention in the workforce.
  3. In 2023, OSCCPR helped over 200 individuals enroll in aviation mechanics and construction training programs and placed 80% of graduates into jobs within three months of program completion.
  4. Education: The Latinx in Tech initiative, in partnership with Google, aims to bridge the digital divide by offering youth and adults opportunities to learn tech skills critical for the future job market.
  5. Legal and Health Services: OSCCPR also provides legal assistance, particularly around housing issues, and connects participants with health services, including mental health and support for formerly incarcerated individuals.
