Goal thermometer

In 2017 election, we trained over 750 delegates to take back power locally in the Twin Cities. We also created a Progressive Report Card for City Council incumbents, tracking their actual votes on progressive issues to educate voters. With ambitions few thought was possible, our members endorsed and elected a super majority on both the Minneapolis City Council and Minneapolis Park Board. We did this and more spending almost nothing on politics (less than $100) and nearly everything on meeting venues. We want to sustain the momentum in 2020 and beyond to hold our elected officials accountable - it will need to be funded.

Together, let's continue the fight to build a government of the people, by the people, for the people. Fix America's broken government by electing progressive, populist, "Berniecrat" candidates. Only by focusing on the full ballot -- from Congress to state legislatures to local elections -- can we instigate real change.

But it won't happen overnight. We need a sustained, expanding surge of grassroots support to compete with the powerful, entrenched establishment. Everybody and everything makes a difference.

Annual expenses are approximately:

~ $500 to host a movie screening

~ $1200 for Member Meeting expenses

~ $ 400 for digital tools

~ $ 100 for literature, postage, buttons, etc.

~ $200 advertising

= $ 2400 annually

If we do not reach our goals, we cut costs by opting for low cost, free options, or delay expenses. If we surpass our expenses, we could send members to a training or event - or host our own. We NEVER give money from ORTC to candidates. Our money is to organize our membership and community. All contributions go directly to Our Revolution Twin Cities, a non-profit 501(c)(4) organization inspired by the campaign of Bernie Sanders.
