Let's Reclaim the Party Together

Hello Friends! I'm running to be your next Democratic Committeeman in Berwyn.

When I first ran for alderman, my goal was to create more ways for people to get involved in civic life. I wanted to broaden the civic ecosystem so more people could have a voice, find their cause or build collective power. I wanted people to feel seen and heard. Many of our neighbors at the time felt disconnected, isolated, and left out of the process and their feelings were justified.

For too long, our city’s political machine has prioritized developers, insiders, and special interests, leaving working people behind. That ends now.

I'm running to transform our local Democratic Party into a vehicle for real change one rooted in equity, community, and the leadership of everyday people.

As a two-term alderman and former school board member, I’ve fought for working families, led participatory budgeting, facilitated civic education, created dozens of volunteer opportunities, organized around various issues, and helped make Berwyn a more welcoming, inclusive place. I've built trust by doing the work, with and alongside my neighbors.

Now, I’m stepping up to organize and lead our party into the future.

I’m committed to:

✅ Building a multiracial, intergenerational, working-class movement in Berwyn

✅ Continuing to champion civic education and knowledge sharing

✅ Mobilizing and engaging voters and increasing voter turnout

✅ Developing and supporting the next generation of grassroots leaders

We need a Democratic Party that doesn’t just claim to represent us, but one that actually fights for us. This is at the local level and especially at the state and national level.

In the midst of our constitutional rights and system of government being threatened, we deserve leaders who are going to fight for the people, not special interests or big donors.

While a Democratic Committeeman does not have a direct impact on policy I will organize, advocate, and leverage collective power to make sure our democratic representatives are developing policy that supports working class people. I will stand against authoritarianism, genocide, and corruption. And I will push the party to support bold, grassroots candidates who have a vision for protecting and supporting our undocumented neighbors, seniors, renters, and youth.

This race isn’t about party labels, it’s about values. It’s about whether our local party will continue to serve a political machine or finally belong to the people. It's about having a vision to rebuild trust in the Democratic Party across our state. Not just with big promises and platitudes but through action and policy that directly impacts our quality of life.

🌱 Join us as we build something new, bold, and deeply rooted in community. Berwyn is ready and so are we.

Let’s organize together, let’s lead together, and let’s win together.
