SFUSD is facing a crisis of leadership--on the verge of state takeover, failing to meet literacy and math standards, and driving families away--we need strong parent-powered board members to get us back on the right track.


I’ve spent my entire career fighting to protect San Francisco and its residents. I won cases that people once thought were impossible: for marriage equality, against the opioid industry, and against the Trump administration.


I moved to San Francisco nearly twenty years ago, and I’ve been a public servant for over a decade. I’m the mother of a first grader in an SFUSD Spanish immersion school and a toddler. 


As a Latina and the first woman on my mom's side of the family to graduate college, I see the potential in my kids and all of our students, and I’m ready to be the champion they deserve.


​I’m running for the Board of Education because I believe that every SFUSD student deserves an educational environment that will support and challenge them so that they can see just how far they can go.

 

Contribution rules

  2. This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
  3. I am at least eighteen years old.
  4. I hereby affirm that I was not, nor, to my knowledge, was anyone else, reimbursed in any manner for this contribution; that this contribution is not being made as a loan; and that this contribution is being made from my personal funds or my personal account, which has no corporate or business affiliation.
  5. I am not making a business entity contribution, such as a corporate/LLC/LLP check or a corporate/LLC/LLP credit card.
  6. I am not making contributions, either alone or via related entities, which aggregate more than $500 to the campaign.
  7. I am not making my contribution for any vote or official action or promise to refrain from any vote or official action.
  8. I am not an owner, director, officer, or named sub‐contractor of any entity that has a contract proposal pending with the City and County of San Francisco or the City of Oakland which is subject to the approval of the San Francisco Board of Education, Oakland City Attorney’s office, or with a state agency on whose board a San Francisco Board of Education or Oakland City Attorney appointee serves, or of any entity that received such a contract within the last twelve months.
  9. I am not registered to lobby the San Francisco Board of Education and have not been registered to do so within the prior 90 days.
