Contribution rules
- I am making this contribution with my own personal credit card and not with a corporate or business credit card or a card issued to another person.
- I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
- I am at least eighteen years old.
- This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
Contributions are not tax deductible for income tax purposes. State law requires us to use our best efforts to obtain the name, address, occupation, employer and employer address for any donor who contributes $250 or more in a reporting cycle. Contributions from corporations are prohibited. The first $3,700 from an individual, or first $14,800 from a partnership, PAC, or unincorporated LLC in a calendar year shall be designated for the candidate's re-election efforts. Any additional funds shall be transferred into a SPEC account to be used for all permissible non-electoral purposes as expressly authorized by City ordinance.
