Donate to the Parole Preparation Project
While the world works to adjust and enact drastic measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 among the public, a massive humanitarian crisis is unfolding inside New York state prisons.
Incarcerated people, especially aging and elderly people and people with comprised immune systems, are at greater risk of contracting the virus and becoming fatally ill. Should someone become sick inside a correctional facility, they are unlikely to receive adequate care, an awful reality that's true for any illness.
In light of these realities, we are collecting donations for:
- Commissary funds for people in prison so they can purchase soap, canned goods and other essentials.
- Packages to incarcerated people filled with necessary items.
- Phone calls and electronic messages, both costly forms of communication.
- Welcome home funds for people returning from prison at the height of the pandemic.
-Other operational costs associated with running our mutual aid campaigns
All gifts are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
