This is a seat that we should never have lost. I ask you to donate to my campaign to bring back common sense gun control, protect a woman's right to choose, address the student loan debt crisis in America, and to provide adequate healthcare for everyone who needs it.

About Pat Maher

I put myself through law school later in life and graduated with a Juris Doctor degree from the Jacob D. Fuchsberg School of Law Touro College and an LL.M. in Health Law & Policy from the Hofstra University School of Law

I am a life-long resident of Nassau County and currently reside in Baldwin. 

I have been fighting all my life for human rights, particularly women’s issues.

I was always very impressed with my mother, Doris Maher, Ed.D., a Cadet- Navy Nurse, a teacher, Associate Professor of Nursing at C.W. Post College, Long Island University and the past-president of the New York Southern League of Nursing. My father, Dareld Maher, was a standard-bred horse owner and trainer, racing at the former Roosevelt Raceway in Westbury, New York. 

I have worked for over 18 years as an elected member of the Nassau County Democratic Committee to elect democrats. I am the immediate past vice-president of the Baldwin Democratic Club. I am known for thinking out of the box in politics and won two primaries to become the Democratic nominee for Nassau County Legislator in East Meadow.
