A queer-inclusive history curriculum will enable LGBTQ+ university students to see their role in the island's past, present and future development. We aim to inject Puerto Rican youth with confidence, compassion and the willingness to continue rebuilding a strong community and economy for ALL. To that end, we have designed our foundation as a highly efficient NGO. No less than 95% of your donations go directly to support programs, including fellowships, that will make this curriculum possible by 2026 at Universidad Ana G. Méndez in Puerto Rico.
Pato Project was created to rescue, document, and disseminate the queer history of Puerto Ricans and to stimulate discussions in our universities around concrete solutions for our inclusion. We believe representation and intentional inclusion build confidence and drive success. Ours is a historical legacy project with an academic purpose. We are an accredited 501(c)3 corporation under the US Internal Revenue Code.
