My name is Patricia Rumph

a proud lifelong resident of Orange County. I was raised by a remarkable single mother who taught me the value of hard work, resilience, and the responsibility to serve others. She showed me—through her life, not just her words—that no matter where you come from, you can make the place you live a better, safer, and stronger community.

I have lived that principle every day. I have built a life of service, leadership, and commitment to the people of Orange County.

In 2020, I was honored to be appointed the Inaugural Community Ambassador, a role created to strengthen trust between law enforcement and residents and to lead efforts aimed at reducing gun violence and violent crime in our neighborhoods.

Before that appointment, I volunteered for three years as President of the Pine Hills Community Council, while also serving on multiple county boards and committees where I proudly represent our community. I am here because I believe every neighborhood deserves opportunity, every family deserves support, and every resident deserves to be seen, heard, and respected.

For more than 30 years, I served the State of Florida in the Department of Corrections, helping to guide individuals, protect communities, and support families during some of their most challenging moments.

Service is not something I talk about—it’s something I live.
