When Trump’s agents disappeared a U.S. resident from an American street, Van Hollen didn’t just tweet — he got on a plane to El Salvador to try to rescue him.
Then, he refused to take no for an answer and SUCCEEDED in meeting with his constituent, Kilmar Abrego Garcia, in El Salvador!!!!!
That’s what backbone looks like.
Now, other Democrats are watching what we do. If they see that bold action leads to real grassroots support, it will inspire more of them to step up and take risks too — in this fight and all the others to come.
