House Democrats showed BACKBONE against a raw power grab by Donald Trump that could have flown under the radar and defunded everything from the NAACP to Planned Parenthood to the Progressive Change Institute to your local charities.
Our P Street government relations team played a leadership role, working with amazing allies like the ACLU, National Education Association, Voices For Progress, and others.
Together, we flipped 48 votes so that only 15 Dems voted for the bad bill. Flipping that many votes is a huge accomplishment. It's very hard to do!
