She has spent her career fighting for her community and is running to take that fight to DC. She also knows that peace is the best path forward. That bipartisan support has ensured that the Pentagon’s defense spending is the largest budget of any agency and the majority of our taxpayer dollars line the pockets of corporate defense contractors making record profits, who in turn line the pockets of corrupt politicians who greenlight more bottomless spending for war. I’m running to end the blank checks for war, bombs, and weapons, and to demand that money be re-invested in our communities where it belongs. War is not a foreign policy."
