After graduating from Yale, she returned to Colorado, fighting for affordable housing, education equity, and immigrant rights. She also wants to see us pursue a radically different kind of foreign policy. "I've been an immigrant rights organizer for decades. My foreign policy perspective is deeply informed by the legacies of military intervention that the United States inflicted on Latin America and Asia. Unless and until the United States shifts course and policy in our foreign affairs approach, we will continue to see death, displacement, destabilized economies, and resentment towards the United States."
