What inspired me to run is deeply personal. I am a product of this district, and I have seen firsthand how our schools have gone from bad to worse. I’ve watched our schools struggle, our students face challenges, and our communities go without the leadership and support they deserve. I believe our communities deserve leaders who truly represent them, leaders who listen, who show up, and who put students and families before power or personal interests. Leadership should never be about what you can gain for yourself. It should be about what you can do for the people you serve.

As someone who grew up in this district and as a student with a learning disability, I know what it feels like to need additional support and to wonder whether the resources you need will actually be there. That experience is one of the biggest reasons I am running. I am running because I do not want another student to feel overlooked, unsupported, or like they have to struggle alone. Every student deserves access to the tools and resources they need to succeed, whether that means counseling, academic support, help at home, special education services, or simply having an adult who believes in them. Our students deserve schools they can be proud of. Our families deserve leaders who will listen to them. Our teachers and staff deserve the resources and support to do their jobs. And every child, regardless of their background, challenges, or learning needs, deserves a real opportunity to succeed.

I’m running because I believe we can do better. I believe our schools can be better. And most importantly, I believe our students deserve better.

This campaign is about putting students first, restoring trust in our leadership, strengthening our schools, and making sure no child is left behind. I’m not running for power, I’m running to give our community a voice and to fight for the future our students deserve
