The People’s Coalition is a true grassroots movement that centers people first! We’re advocating, planning, hosting, tabling and engaging the community, and now we’re focusing on key elections, including the Michigan Democratic Party (MDP) Endorsement Convention on April 19th, 2026 in Detroit.

At this convention, party members will vote in a primary-style election for crucial roles, including: Attorney General, Secretary of State, State Board of Education, University of Michigan Board of Regents, Wayne State University Board of Governors, Michigan State University Board of Trustees. It’s integral for our communities, especially marginalized communities, to be present and involved in these processes so our values are reflected in candidates that will work to represent and serve all of us come the November' 2026 General Election.

The People’s Coalition is doing the work to build a big-tent coalition- one that unites progressives, marginalized communities, and grassroots organizers in the fight for a just future. However, we need funds to cover our organizing, outreach and strategy through sending texts and emails, printing literature and t-shirts!
