We flipped this seat to take the power back—now we need your help to defend it.
I’m Peter Hubbard, your Public Service Commissioner. Last year, we sent a shockwave through the political establishment by winning this seat and fighting back against unaccountable regulators who serve corporate monopolies over the interests of hardworking Georgians.
Now, I am running for a full six-year term to finish the job: delivering affordable electricity, protecting our environment, and stopping predatory rate hikes.
But the corporate-backed special interests are desperate to regain their grip. My opponent, Fitz Johnson, is trying to claw his way back into this office. When he was serving as the unelected, appointed Commissioner in this very seat, he acted as a blind rubber stamp—approving $24 billion in unnecessary costs and rate hikes without hardworking Georgians ever getting a vote.
We cannot afford to go backward. Instead of pushing for more clean, affordable energy, the old establishment let massive, energy-hungry data centers strain our electrical grid and water resources, leaving you to foot the bill.
We have the momentum to defend this seat, break the monopoly culture, and build a true pro-consumer majority on the PSC. But my opponent’s corporate allies will spend whatever it takes to win this back, and we need the resources to launch our ground game and reach energized voters across the state.
Please make a contribution today to send the strongest message possible: Georgians are done paying the price for corporate greed. Let's win a full term this November!
