Wow! Can you believe it has only been three months since the campaign launched?? I feel like we've known each other for years at this point!
Not only have three months passed, but we have now officially closed the books on the first of the campaign's three phases, meeting or exceeding all goals and expectations, thanks to YOU!
As Phase Two rolls on, I will be providing you with updates and staying in touch on a regular basis- especially on the dynamic social media community we have created together.
I'll share a few things that will be happening right off the bat: a You Tube channel with videos of me travelling across the district and visiting some of my old haunts, a campaign newsletter, press interviews, my 3000 calls in 300 days phone banking commitment, and last but not least, I will start rolling out some endorsements.
Phase Two will run right up to Labor Day and we really need people to stay motivated and excited. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY thought we would accomplish what we have so far.
Donors and activists from across the state and across the country are ready to send a message: paint a district just as red as you like, but democracy is still alive and well!
Now the hard part, for me anyway because I don't like asking for money. But to really make a bold statement we need to raise enough to pop some eyeballs. With that in mind, we have set some pretty aggressive fundraising goals, the first being $5,000 by the end of January.
My promise to you should you give, whether a dollar or a hundred dollars, not a nickel will be wasted, and I will provide regular updates on how any funds are spent.
There won't be any fancy office space, there won't be any office space at all. No expensing of meals or travel. Every nickel will be spent on spreading the word, on making sure your voice is HEARD.
Let's not just surprise people, let's shock people!
Thanks for your support and I look forward to seeing you out on the trail and engaging with you online!
