Last year, Rep Mihaela Plesa was in an uphill fight to win a state representative seat no one expected her to win, a race in which our campaign was outraised by a 4-1 margin. But what we lacked in funds we made up in hard work. She won the race by 1.46%: the smallest victory margin in the Texas legislature in the 2022 election.

The hard work didn’t stop with the election. Mihaela immediately went to work for you. She worked diligently across the aisle and across chambers to send over 90 pieces of legislation to Gov. Abbott’s desk and passed a budget rider to add $6 million to Early Childhood Intervention. She was honored that the prestigious Texas Legislative Study Group named her the Freshman of the Year for our focus on policy. 

But her work isn’t finished. There is so much more to do. Rep. Mihaela Plesa running for re-election to protect public education, deliver safe health care for women, and deliver real property tax relief for the residents of Collin County. We deserve representatives who are focused on the needs of our community.
